Had a minor problem

With the scraper blade today I hit a big ice chunk and ripped the clevis the end of the rod on the cylinder I cleaned it up and put green loctite on it we?ll see if it holds if not I?ll weld the clevis on and be done with it I?ve done that several times in the past with good results

Loctite is pretty impressive stuff, but I wouldn’t be surprised if you have to weld it eventually.

I?m sure I?ll have to weld it but maybe this will get
me through the next storm until i can take it to a
welder . I have glued together a lot of things with
loctite and had good luck so we?ll see

Do they still make replacement top link ends that clamp like that? I need one for a cylinder.

How about drilling a hole through collar and end of shaft and putting a bolt in? If bolt shears off put another one in and go. Worst case you can always weld it.

That?s a pretty good idea actually I need to go to town and get some more drill bits
