Got tractor split and pulled shifter out on reverse side found a cracked gear on top shaft. My question is that I am wandering what normal wear looks like on these shifter it isn?t grinding past the small end catchers or wearing past its wear marks. Their is about a note card thin groove on the end mainly onnjust two ends I?m concerned that I?ll have to by new shifter but really don?t want to pay 532 for it idk even know if jd still sell them anymore? Was planning on buying a good used one. Maybe some body will know
