I went home to SD last week and today I came home with one of my father's tractors. I spent many hours on this little guy, even though I collect Orange, I have wanted to save this one. My brothers did not want it so I got it....a MF 135 Deluxe diesel, power adjust wheels and 12 speed Multi-Power transmission. My dad was forced to buy it when he wanted a MF corn chopper and the original owner would only sell them as a pair...I think he paid $2500 for both, the tractor only had a couple hundred hours on it at the time, over 50 years ago. After using the tractor for awhile, it became his favorite. My brothers have beat on it for the last 30 years, but I think it is worth saving. I have a MF chopper here that is exactly like the one that came with this tractor...full of memories.

They are a nice little tractor with good power. I ran one years ago with a rototiller and other equipment for the local FFA.That one looks to be in pretty good shape. The one we had just had the normal 3 spd with Hi/Lo shifter.

My chopper. I bought this one for $40 at an auction years ago...same as the one we got with the tractor. Unfortunately the original did not handle foxtail in corn very well and we had problems with the sickle drive on it and eventually scrapped it. This one have very little paint worn off it....

I think those have a good enough
reputation that even the most diehard
Ford, JD, Farmall, Case, etc collectors
would be glad to add one to their fleet.

it looks pretty good for being a working tractor all its life. they were pretty popular here too. it is hard to imagine chopping corn with one in this era of 200-500+ hp tractors and choppers. did you pull a wagon behind the chopper?

We never used this tractor with the chopper, we pulled it with an Allis WD45 diesel, which pulled it well.

135 Massey, 3000 Ford where two of the most popular tractors in that size around here.
I've never owned a 135 but can't say anything bad about one.
Glad you got your dads old Massey, brother sold our dads tractors back in the 80's, I have a Ford 801 that reminds me of dads 800 I ran for many years, neighbor has his old Dexta so I see it often, good old tractor but not interested in getting it back.
