I have a 175 and a 265. Both have the 236 perkins. They basically are the same tractor the 265 being the newer model. I've been very happy with both. I plant with the 265 and the 175 does most utility work and light green chopping. The 175 goes in the shop next for clutch work. First the pto wouldn't disengage now it's both clutches.

They are a good looking tractor. Our FFA had a M/F back in
the late ?60?s don?t remember what model. Also had a ?50 Ford
8N.

I have the 135 with the Perkins 3 Cyl gas engine.
Has the flat top fenders and not the clam shell type.
Awesome little tractor.

I always thought that era of Masseys were the nicest looking ones ever. Right up there with the JD 630-730,Oliver four digits and the Case 30 series Comfort Kings.

In my opinion they were ok if...
you liked the Jetsons, Barbarella or a cheap Frank Zappa flick
I know they were great machines but the styling was dated before the first one left the factory.

Thanks for the posting. What is the name of the magazine as I have some of that series MF tractors and would like to read that article. I enjoy your
post and the pictures you share with us.

Thanks, Tom

What is outdated with the styling? Looks like a tractor instead of something from outer space like most new items from cars to tractors and everything else. Seems most designers seem to think what is the most outrages design I can do and still get prople to buy it.
