It's worse than I thought....

My old tractor obsession that is. My brother was doing some housekeeping and decided this project Farmall had to go. He gave me first dibs; some horse trading straw bales and I dragged it home. Farmall 504 gas, he had it running, needs wiring, paint maintenance items but no major repair that we know of. Maybe the obsession will recede somewhat after a few skinned knuckles.

A F11 would make me nervous on that small of a tractor, bucket wouldn't get above the hood with me, wide front or not.

I had an IH 504 diesel (the utility model). Liked it a lot. Took it to a consignment sale, the idiot driving it through the ring (outside, in a parking area) had it tached up to combat speed, and the blowby stirred up so much dust you could hardly see the tractor for the dust. Oh, well, sometimes you're the windshield, sometimes you're the bug.

Yes it would be a little small but it would make a nice loader tractor I wouldn?t want it on a narrow front

I see a generator, did any of the 504s come out factory with an alternator.. I know dad bought a new one and for some reason I was thinking it had an alternator. I am probably wrong , I know it did not stay around long till he went to a 756.
