Bought my Christmas gift

My wife and I do not exchange gifts.
If we want something we just buy it.

So anyway I was working on my 18" saw today that needs all new gas line.
While looking up parts online I found this new saw on sale at Lowes for 50% off.
Then Lowes give me another 10% off for using my lowes card.
So that put the final cost of $76 for a $169 saw.
Seemed like such a good deal I just treated myself to a new saw for Christmas rather than fix the old one.

The Poulan Pro model isn't a bad saw, but I don't care for the flimsy plastic switches. If used with care, it should hold up a good long time. I still have the first model Poulan Pro chainsaw that came out. Runs better than 'I' do.

Got mine too, didn't need it at all but sure is fun. 22 LR plinker. Put about a 100 rounds through it yesterday. Fun little handgun.

After working on chainsaws in the 70's, after the oil embargo, I never would have guessed Homelite would have died, and the Poulan name would live on.

My kids got me a couple of quilt lined flannel shirts. I LOVE 'EM. Don't need anything else. My old McCulloch 1-43, built in 1962, still runs like a dream but I'm gettin' too old to lift it anymore. It'll probably still run when those new plastic saws are gone.

The Wife and I exchange one gift and each get something of our choice. So I got a new Bianchi holster and magazine holder for my Remington R1.

I'd been looking for a deal on a top handle saw for a while for trimming and arborist work. The lady that grooms our dog told me her husband had one for sale, brand new. Anyway, the Echo is a great saw and it was my birthday and Christmas present wrapped up in one. (Birthday on Dec 22nd).

in't that the truth!!!

WOW; I talked to my local Stihl dealer the other day about trading in my MS180 for a Pro top handle. He was more than willing to take my 180 in trade, but said due to new 170 selling for $179 he could give me about $75 bucks for mine. The two Pro top handle saws that he had ranged from $329-599. I guess that I will keep my 180, but maybe tomorrow I will make a trip to LOWES

Don't waste your time. Thanks to John's post I checked the lowe's website and that saw is only available in the deep south apparently because it rang up as $169 here in KY. I tried central LA because of some kin there and it was full price there too. Maybe in a few weeks it will "migrate" further north :-(

If you don't mind these, they're certified refurbished and come with full warranty. Sold through walmart.com:

Well I found one in Opelousas(sp?) but not in the Alec area.
Thanks for the original post, at least I know they may put some more on sale. :)
