Last USA manufactured tractor??

Kubota still is. Others probably are as well. If you want to think old school iron, the last orange one made in the States would have been in the D series in the early 60's. Probably the same time frame for the others as well.

It would almost have to be International. Allis, Oliver, MM, and white used fiat based utility tractors. Case used David Brown. Deere was built in Germany, I think Ford were built in Belgium. I'm not sure about Massey Ferguson.

Not so. The 550 Olivers were built in Iowa up until 1975,then they continued to be produced for a short time as the White 2-44. If you want to call them a utility, the White American 60 and American 80 were built in the US from 89 to 91.

I understand the newer JD compact utilities have JD engines, where are they made? Our 2001 4600 has a Yanmar engine, but I think some of the rest of the tractor is made in the states. For example, the front axle is Spicer.

Yes the sub compacts come crated to retail dealers from port of entry. Larger tractors shipped complete and backed of the transporter's trailer at the dealer's dock.

Don't know but would guess AC.

Allis Chalmers was an enormous, both vertically and horizontally integrated, industrial megalith.

Entrenched, totally unionized, and unable to respond quickly to changing markets, they were one of the first US industrial megaliths to collapse (ignoring railroads and steel, which are topics of another discussion), AC continued doing the things that had been successful in the past long beyond such times when such things were survivable.

What a tragedy.

(quoted from post at 18:44:41 12/22/18) Probably the 60s John Deere, ih and case maybe some of the others ?

Mid way through the 40 series Agricultural production ceased at Dubuque, that would be the early 1980's. Mannheim had been building tractors for ever other country in the world to that time . Although Deere built industrial tractors for years afterwards at Dubuque.

Well A lot of fellows do not believe it but the premium JD compact tractors have been made in Augusta, GA for over 25 years. The current model in the under 40 HP would be the 2000R and 3000R series tractors. Examples would be the 2032R which is 31.7 gross HP and 23.5 PTO HP and the 3039R with 39 gross HP and 31.1 PTO HP. They have US built Yanmar engines in them. The drive line is mainly made by Spicer.

Then for a little larger tractors The older 5000 series utility tractors where made in Augusta, GA starting in 1992 to 2017. You have to be buying the premium tractor not the cheaper models. My 2001 JD 5210 was made in Augusta. 47 PTO HP. The later ones would have been the 5M series tractors. Like the 5075M 75 gross HP and 60 PTO. The current models are the New 4000R series. An example is the 4052R which is 51.5 gross HP and 39.9 PTO HP.

You have to really watch the 5000 series models of tractors after about 2003. They brought out the 5003 series that was made in India. At the same time the 5015 tractors where made in Mexico. While the 5025 series was still being made in the Augusta, GA. plant. So at that time the last numbers told you where they where made. Then it went to the letter on the end C, D, and E, means they were made in Mexico or India. While the M tractors were made in Augusta GA.

Thanks JD. I knew they were still being made in Georgia when I left the dealership about 14 year's ago but haven't kept up. Of course Waterloo still makes the big boys.

Less than 40 hp would be a 1983 MF 230. Tag says made in USA not assembled like some of the current compacts sold today.
