broken Farmall C blade

I didn?t take the blade off and was doing some brush hogging . I hit an old stump in third gear and broke the lift arms. I was given a touch control, and switched the arms. Boy were they tight! We?re ready for snow now but it seems headed south. I think maybe Mr Bass has a better rig with the chains instead of rods.

Telescoping rods can made to have the benefit of lift and down force. With some figuring, a setup could be made that would lift or push from a variety of holes with pins to adjust length, and also have a chain to allow float, or even have a spring actuated down force using an internal compression spring to allow controlled down force. My plow came with the tractor 30 years ago, never could find the lift linkage and I'm tired of looking, chains will have to do.
