Injection pump problems

My Deere 6415 with a Standyne DE10 pump is not wanting to fire. A couple days ago I started it and it died like the fuel had jelled. I had additive in the fuel and it should not have been a problem since it was only down in the teens. But I changed the filters since they were a year old and primed the system by running the electric pump. I tried to start and it fired up for just a few seconds then died again. After that I can't get it to fire at all - no smoke, not even trying to fire. I've got fuel to the injection pump but none to the injectors. I suspect the electric shutoff isn't opening. I've checked current at the plug at the rear of the pump and I get 8.8 volts from the yellow wire to frame ground, but 0 when crossing between terminals of the plug. Is the green wire supposed to be a ground? I get no continuity between green wire and frame ground. I don't want to damage the ECU so I'm asking advice before I do much more testing. Thanks for any help.

That's a pretty complicated pump, and is similar to the (infamous) I.P. used on electronic GM 6.5 diesel engines.

The 'puter sends a current to the solenoid in the "head" of the unit to initiate each and every injection event, NOT something you are going to troubleshoot with a simple voltmeter or test light.

Wonder if any trouble codes have been set, OR it may be as simple as needing to bleed the fuel lines at the injectors.

Thanks for the manual pdf. I've been reading it and it is an interesting pump. I'm starting to sound like an old man asking what was wrong with the old mechanical pumps. It is easier to work on something that doesn't have wires hooked to it. I loosened an injector line and I am not getting any fuel through the pump. I haven't checked for any codes. I think I have a wiring issue in the tractor harness because there are several places that the insulation is cracking. And the wire that I assume is a ground wire is not giving me any continuity when grounded with an ohm meter. If that is the case I think I'll probably splice in some new wires because a new engine harness is over $500.
