First 4 wheel drive I ever drove was a 7520. What a tractor. We pulled a 28 ft. field cult. 22 ft. disk and a 6 bottom plow. What fun for a kid who came off a farm where biggest tractor was a 53 horse Case 700. I was farming for what was then a bto. (1500 acres). We never had any trouble with that 7520 until a disgruntled neighbor or mischievous kids shoved some dirt and grass in the fuel tank. We had fuel problems then until the day it got traded for an 8630.

The first four wheel drive I ran was a Steiger bearcat With a v8 cat it was a neat tractor except the hydraulics were so slow you had to start raising the implement half way across the field to have it out of the ground buy the time you got to the other end . The next one was a panther 3 the hydraulic system was no better but it was fun to run if you tried to turn with the implement in the ground it felt and sounded like the entire drivetrain was coming through the floor on either tractor . Then I ran a quadtrac the first one that came out it was so slick plowing was only pulling a 6 bottom John Deere 3600 I think hydraulics still weren?t improved but it was a nicer tractor . After that ran a Stx 450 pulling a 45 foot flexi coil chisel plow that was a nice tractor but still no hydraulics the cab was pretty nice they did a fair job of copying John Deere?s command arm controls that move with the seat and all the controls are on you right arm rest . Ran another stx 450 quad with high flow hydraulics pulling two 6 bottom John Deere 3600 hooked together that was fun to plow with when the boss ran that rig he would just leave the plow in the ground it was so slow I didn?t like that idea so I?d gear down to raise both plows
