If you like tractor literature, you'll love this!

Holy Caterpilars! The one ad reminds me of an old Cat
skidder who worked for Johnson Bros. He said he built a
whole golf course with a D9 cable dozer. Said they were ready
to plant seed behind him..... guess they didn?t have the seeder
attachment. That and the attachment to cut the cups in the
greens!!?

I got a kick out of that one, pulling a Graham- Hohme chisel plow with the big lever's on the wheels, that must of come across on the Mayflower !!

Thank you for posting that!!!

I never saw a crawler pulling a sickle bar mower before. I bet the ends look kind of tough turning that tracked machine. LOL

Fast Farmall, Interesting comment about the gramhome chisel plow. My dad tried one out in the late 40 s, had the long levers , no power lift. He made one trip across the field and sent it back to the dealer!

Thanks for posting . I love old literature and new
literature I Have well over a thousand pieces mostly
farm equipment . I remember when the rubber track
cat challengers came out I read that brochure until
the ink was gone

I have 2 cat models "Twenty-two" outside. One has winch and a blade and the other has a motor that turns over. The magneto for
the runner, some day, is currently about 3 feet behind me. Yes dear, I'll get to it.

I cut hay with a John Deere #5 mower on a Cat D2. Actually you can whip it around and make a pretty decent corner most times.

Why? We used one for years with the long levers. Went in long curve with swinging drawbar. turning was no problem without raising plow. First year used two cockshutt 40 chained together. After that one on most fields. really opened hard pan and let water down.
