unable to post on Classic truck site

So will ask here: Can I run a one size larger pr. of tires on my 92 k1500 4x4 along with the original size? If so would it be better to put them on the frt or rear? Reason for asking is that I can not find a used set of original size and I don't use this truck much.

What size does it have and what are you proposing to install?

Is the difference in profile or width? If you are mixing, say a "235" and a "225" width, there's little difference in circumference/"rolling radius", but if mixing a "75" and "85" PROFILE there'd be a much greater difference.

Conventional wisdom would be to put the slightly larger circumference ones on the front, better to have them "pulling", vs. the larger ones in the rear trying to "push" the smaller front ones, ASSUMING this is a "part time" 4 X 4 with no interaxle differential.

That being said, if there's much difference in circumference, it will load and "bind up" the 4 X 4 as soon as you hit dry pavement, making it scuff the tires and come out of 4 X 4 with a JERK, or not at all until you back up. BT,DT.

You could if you have to.
Being it is 4x4, it might have an adverse drivablity in 4x4.

Have you shopped for used sets on rims, not just tires?
Almost any post 1992 GM 6 lug wheel will fit.
Around here you can buy a new set of O.E.M. rims and tires with around 1000 miles on them for half cost or less than just new tires.

I have never been able to post on today?s tractors or classic trucks . I see guys over there with the same handle as on this site so you must need to setup another account I guess

Cuby, I reposted your question over at "Classic Trucks".

You mite want to surf over there and see if it gets any replies.

sense its a 4x4 you need the same size front and rear IF your using 4 wheel drive , different tire diameter changes gear ratio , so the rear ends will fight them self's if you do not use 4x4 then it would not

I have not tried to post in those. But when I visit it shows me logged in.
The instructions also say you can login with your YT credentials (same as here).

(quoted from post at 20:19:45 11/25/18) No you can?t . I?ve never been able to

Sure you can, I just did on both, well I could not find "Classic Trucks" so I posted on Yesterdays Trucks.

With same login. Actually was already logged in here and was over there also at the same time.

Thanks to all that replied. Yes they will be all 16" tires. Just hard to find the used 225/75R16 here.
