Going to make another set of duals

I am going to weld these 9 bolt centers into this set of Massey power adjust wheels to make dual wheels for the 4020. Need to figure out how to cut the adjusting rails out of the rims without damaging the rim

I'd think it would be easier to find dual wheels you need. Be a lot of work getting those rails out, then find someone that are looking for them. Eight rail rims in both 34 and 38 size fit other tractor makes also.

Somebody is going to be wanting those rims you are getting ready to cut up. I know some power adjust rims you cannot buy new and when you have a rusted out rim what do you do? look for a set of used IF you can find them. Sell the power adjust rims and buy other less scarce rims.

What size tires are you going to run as duals? If you weren't so far I could probably help you out with a pair of rims.

Going to the old 480:80:38 Goodyear that I took off the inside and replaced with 18.4.38 Firestone?s .

Don't cut down/up those spin-out rims. People are always looking for them. My hunt for one just ended last week. They are almost impossible to find and pricey to buy new.

As others have said the spin out rims are very expensive to buy,I'd just get a set of blank rims and weld in the centers.Piles of flat base rims at about every consignment I go to
in my area.Spin outs will sell eventually I bought a set of nice 15 X 34 at an auction for $40, took me about a year but finally got $200 each for them. People seem to never start looking for them until they need them bad and then will pay good for them.

I presume that you realize that you can buy Eyes that attach to those spin out rails and you can buy a spacer ring and Eyes for your tractor wheels and use J bolts to attach the whole assy. onto your tractor with no cutting or welding at all.

Sv please measure the spin out rims before cutting them. I have a set of rims with no centers. They are dual rims with the standoff and they clamp on. I have a mf65 high arch with the 38" wheels and 1 of them is rotting due to calcium. If it would work out for you maybe we could do a swap.

On my D17 I hooked the J Bolts directly to the rail of the spin outs. No bracket needed, just hook the bolt over the rail. Held securely.

I had thought of that . But I have a set of factory dual hubs and dual wheel spacers on the 4020 already so I was hoping I could use them . I guess I could pull them off and either keep or sell them

Yes direct axle is the best way to go. I just thought since you already have the centers that they would weld into these double bevel rims easy. I got lucky and found one here and one there for my White. Easy to put on and take off. And since you have the centers you can place them were you want them.

The ones on the tractor are 14 inch originally had 15.5.38 on it . They work fine even with the 480 being half inch wider than a 18.4.38

Before you get all happy with the torch, and the welder, make sure you're prepared for the distortion that's gonna follow.

Can turn that wheel into a pretzel in a heartbeat when you start putting the heat to it.
