Hoar Frost Again

That cold, damp and miserable east wind does build up some impressive hoar frost on the trees. Took this shot out the window early this morning.

Nice picture.

Took this picture a few days ago......looking across the valley while its snowing......fog hovering near the top of the mountain.

Brian, what a beautiful photo!! Everything bleak and grey, except for the vibrant colors of our stars and stripes.

Wonderful photo! Thanks for posting.

THAT'S BEAUTIFUL, can I come visit. I really like all of the pictures from everywhere, I just wish people would identify where they are
from, town and state.

Wonderful photo and I agree that everyone should name their town and state. I'm a BIG geography "buff". Waseca, MN

My location is always listed as S.E. Sask. in modern view. Yes, that fog hanging over the hoar frost makes for impressive scenery. We have not had much of that here for a year it seems. I might have posted this one already last winter. Drone shot looking down on the Red River Special thresher on the hill in the pasture.

(quoted from post at 20:13:17 11/22/18) Question, what is hoar frost? Never heard that term.
See that white frost hanging from the branches and every blade of grass? That is hoar frost. I can't believe you don't have it there.
This is another example of it from about 3 years ago.

That is what the ice looks like after a freezing rain. Second picture showes better what you are talking about. Never knew a name for it. We do get frozen fog as well that looks different that freezing rain.
