Kawasaki GE 4000 generator

I have the opportunity to grab a couple of Kawasaki GE 4000 generators. They run, one has an oil leak. I figure for the couple hundred I am getting them for I can do any repairs and make them worthwhile. I cannot find any specs on them though. I assume they are 4000 watts as most generator models numbers seem to indicate watts. Can anyone tell me anything more about them?

. Better to think amps rather than watts due to power factor and phase angles caused by Motor’s making the current lag the voltage .
Max rated is 16.6 amps per line but that is optimistic , particularly in hot weather . 12.5 to 14.0 amps per line continuous is lots .

That most likely is 4000 starting watts. 3500 running watts. Amps is what counts as buickanddeere posted. Kawasaki does make good units.

I have a 4000 watt 10hp generator. It pulled all we needed except the central air on a hot day in August. We kept the doors closed to keep the cool air in. The generator pulled the two refrigerators and a small deep freeze, ceiling fans and what ever light we turned on. I was very satisfied. I have since converted it over to propane and it starts much easier. I also exercise the generator quite often.
