My high price work shop is coming a long and looking great. Hoping to get the roof on before the snow comes and door are in to be put on to. I went a three car garage type because in California the taxes are cheaper on the building. Where I live it is easy to pull a permit for this than a shop. So I hope you enjoy the picture of this shop.

I am glad to see windows looking at the mountains. They are magnificent. are yoy going to structure the roof for a lidting point, or use a portable crane? Jim
 
This is in the state of California. In the little town of Benton near the Nevada state line looking at the California white mountains.
 
The roof is 10 high inside of this place but the center where the door is going to raise up to 14 foot. Just in case I ever save up for a lift I could put it in the center of this shop. I wanted tall shop but the price tag was more than what I could afford with my pocket cash. The price was a lot of money for a big shop and since I am a believer in affording what I can do and not making a mortgage bill each month. I had consider to take this option.
 
Nice shop, beautiful area, hope to spend some time in CA in March. What I did for lifting in our shop was to add an extra truss, then I put a 4x6 x 8 foot across them. I have a I-beam against the ceiling with a little trolley and a 1 ton chain fall. I use it often, for sharpening mower blades, changing tires on motorcycles, and skinning deer.
 
I was going to have some thing like that built into the shop. The price tag on building and paying the fees from the county really told me I had to wait and till the shop is done. I will see how munch money I have left over than I will get a iron frame made to be in the shop with my electrical 10,000 pound remote winch on it. the ten thousand pound winch will help in moving heavy parts around the shop. I will wait to see what the price tag is on the shop first.
