Trend in milk?

I was just reading an article in the Lancaster Farming Newspaper.
It said a new trend is A 2 Milk,a type of milk that is as being more digestible than standard milk for some people.
It went on to say, that U.S. Dairy cooperatives have been wary of offering A 2 milk, but Australian farmers have stated that A2 milk has given them an edge in the Asian market.
I dont know much about the facts,,just what I read,,,thought I Would post this for some who may be involved or understand it better than I do.

I will follow up to my earlier comment.

I think it has been known for some time that different breeds produce different qualities of milk, but it comes down to economics, the Holsteins just produce a lot of milk. This may lead to another grade of milk now that people are becoming more health conscience, but it will have to be marketed and priced different.

It's getting hard to believe a lot of these articles anymore because we have been told not to consume salt, sugar, eggs, coffee, and other foods but come along latter and say you can use them if we watch the amount you consume.

That's like diabetes they have changed the A1C numbers for older people. They have changed the blood pressure number to hold a CDL. It use to be 140 over 80 or less was ok but now it's 130 over 80 or less. Do they really know what they are doing?

And how many chicken egg laying operations were destroyed. If you put out false information that harms others "advance your career and government funding" and if latter found to he total bz you should be put in the middle of the street and stoned.

I worked as an artificial inseminator here in the northest for 33 years, now retired. I first heard about A2 milk about 10 years ago. There was very little information about it then. About 3 years ago 2 of my customers decided they only wanted to use bulls that were A2A2, as opposed to bulls that were A1A1 or A1A2, in the hopes that most of their future herd would be A2A2 by the time A2 milk comands a premium price. Cows of European descent are the only mammals that produce A1 milk.

While there is no separate market for A2 milk in Canada at this time, I breed the cows that I want to keep heifers from for replacement in my herd to A2 bulls. Have been doing this for several years now. Who knows, someone could develop a market for A2 milk here and offer a premium, if it happens, I will be ready. 80% of Jersey cows will give A2 milk while only 20% of Holstein cows currently give milk that will pass the A2 requirement. This is probably why the uptake of A2 is so slow to happen, just not enough milk available to make it worth while for a processor

I never heard of it but I just asked my wife and she has. Both of our kids had dairy allergies. No idea why. We were able to get our 3 year old "cured" by slowly building up the amount of milk protein he ate each day, at a measured rate, until he could tolerate normal servings. Currently doing the same process with our 1 year old, and she is about cured as well now. The 3 year old drank goats milk in the mean time until he could have cow's milk. Man does that stuff stink, and cost a small fortune!

I get Lancaster Farmer too. I missed that article.

Saw this one the other day.

People say that drinking milk makes you stronger.

Drink 5 glasses of milk and try moving a wall.

Can't

Now drink 5 glasses of wine the wall moves all by itself :D
