Injector pump question

I have a Lucas cav injector pump model p5519/2 that I?m unsure what the electric switch does it?s in the same location as the manual over fuel button on another engine my brother has is that what this switch is if so how should it be wired? This injector pump is on a Ford 2725E motor that was transplanted into a ford 642 combine. I don?t want to mess up the pump as it was recently rebuilt to the tune of $1,800 the switch wasn?t wired when we bought the machine and being a replacement motor the manual doesn?t cover this. Would like to know what this switch is for and how to wire/use it. The switch in question is visible in the picture.
Thanks
Dave

I've worked on a lot of Simms pumps, and that's the first one I've seen with that solenoid. Bosch RSV governor on some engines has a similar solenoid. On Bosch, it trips the fuel linkage inside so rack can go to full travel/retard start for easier cold starting. It's usually energized by the starter during cranking, but set the throttle 1/3 open first on the Simms pump. Some early Simms on AC engines also used an oil cylinder like most Bosch RSV governors do now, so it's done automatically with engine oil pressure.

Thanks for the information. That should make it easier to start the motor in this cold weather we?ve been having lately.
