johndeere4020step

I prefer the steps from Deere. The mounting means and materials are much sturdier than others I have seen. Prices are not that much different, sometimes Deere has a Spring Sale that include Step Kits.

It depends on if you have a loader or not. If you have a loader then the JD steps are the best. You can adjust them to where they clear the loader but still work well. If no loader I like the K&M steps next best. They are a little heavier built than some of the other brands of steps. I am a bigger fellow and the K&M do not flex much when I step on them.

It looks like the John Deere step bracket would interfere with the 148 loader mounting bracket. Is there a way to make it work on 4020?

I will go third on Abilene Machine, easy to put on and sturdy made..will work good with a loader..

JD 4440 you need to use the better step kit that as the adjustable angle ability. You can set it to miss the loader brackets.
