got 2 calls from same number in texas in the last hour,214-888-2632,from the irs,theres been a arrest warrant issued for my arrest,and for me to contact them imedeantly at this number,these people must think were all dumb...geez

Last time that happened to me I told them they'd have to call me back on my cell phone. And then gave them the phone number for the sheriff's office.

I was kinda disappointed, I got a letter from the irs last week.

For real, not a joke. Accountant and I both overlooked something in the final review I had noted and listed in my original paperwork, didn?t get on to the 1040......

Oops.

At least they didn?t start out with jail time, just want their money........

No threats, just send them money.

I did, end of story.

They had the same scam here in Ontario. My wife ,daughter and myself got the call. I asked if we could get a family residence in jail. They busted a big operation in India for this scam just in the last little bit. There was a show about it on Tv (Marketplace I Beleive).I havent watched it yet, have it recorded.

I was receiving something a bit similar, called in to the state, they called the # and took care of it. I chuckled as I thought it was kinda fun to fix it that way!

Got one of those calls a while back while sitting at my 'puter, so I GOOGLED the number of the nearest FBI office while he was ranting.

Then told him to shut up and listen, as I had an important phone number for him to write down/

I kept interrupting him and asking if he'd copied it down and repeated it a few more times, and asked him to repeat it back to me.

Then I said "that's the number for the local FBI office, you need to call them and report yourself as a scammer".

They haven't come to get me... YET!

I agree Dean, then they will tell you that you need to go to your local office and what paperwork you need to take with you. I got a call several years and did what she asked and got everything resolved. So yes they do call you if you ignore the letters. I also know LOL.
