I enjoyed the update on the "Big Boy" I have been following it some, but I can see this post is very detailed and she is getting a great rebuild, its obvious the old girl, was worked hard in her service to our great country. To me she is just one cog that built this country

There still planning on Mid 2019 for the 150 year golden spike
anniversary.

No problem. It is several pages back somewheres. I said how much work they are putting into it and when done it will be as close to a new Big Boy as possible. Should run for many years more than they originally did. Roughly ten years. When that thing goes by the earth will MOVE! So glad the UP donated so many of them.
 
Also go cruise over to Utube. They post a monthly update for over four
years. Most of them are pretty bland but worth looking at.
