AC160 rotary mower front oil seal?

Was out mowing some bean stubble and field edges earlier this week, and when I got done (probably mowed... 45 mins to an hour). But when I got done, I noticed there was some extra oil in the back below the gear box. I fill her up with 140wt every year (or 85w140, can't recall which), and have no issues topping her off, but I'm wondering if I have a front seal or something going bad? Or if this is normal when under heavy load? No weird noises or anything.

I have a manual but figured I'd ask around first.

If this hasn't happened before, there is probably a breather hole someplace that has got plugged and the pressure in the gearbox pushed some oil out.

IanC -- This is the first time I've ever noticed it, so I am inclined to believe that is what happened. Wonder if/where the vent is on this thing.

Blackhole49 -- Have thought about doing that but can't bring myself to just yet.

I have one of those, great bush hog. I think theres a pipe plug type vent behind the shields for the PTO shaft. Might have a cotter key in it. Been a long time since I looked, so take it with a grain of salt. It's a good idea to make sure the bolts under there are all tight. A loose one will give you a weeping leak. A really lose one can give you a major leak and burnt out bearings. Learned that the hard way $$$$$.

Best I can see in the manual is an "oil hole" behind the rattle clutch listed in the manual. Will have to go out this weekend and see if I can't take some pictures and find something.

Definitely don't want to wreck anything; not sure I can find many parts for this old girl!
