Sunset Over The John Deere

Was using the 2140 JD to load up some fill dirt to widen an approach on my driveway this afternoon. Got 5 gravel truck loads in before I'd had enough of the cold and miserable wind. 35 degrees , cloudy and windy is not too comfortable. I took this sunset shot over the hood as I was heading home. Too cold to stop for a proper picture so I just let up on the foot feed and idled along while taking this shot with the Gopro.

(quoted from post at 18:54:21 10/30/18) Sharp tractor!!
Thanks, its a handy little front end loader tractor. Does not have the lifting power of the old Massey but its sure handy to drive and load with.
Got some video of it today but likely won't get it uploaded to youtube til tomorrow.

(quoted from post at 21:08:51 10/30/18) What do you do? Wax it every day? That hood sure does shine.
No, its almost a year since I waxed the hood. Was just thinking as I drove it how dirty the hood was and I needed to clean it up. Funny how good it looks on screen though.

The 2140 would probably handle it fine empty but not to put a swath through. Sure works great for parking the machinery in the shed with it's super easy steering.
That 7721 takes the big 1000 pto so there is only one tractor on the farm that can power it.

Sinister looking clouds. All part of the wind and cold I suppose. I sure don't miss those times on an open tractor as a young guy, but in warm weather an open station is just plain fun.
