Last Sunday I had the opportunity to drive the "Polar Express" for my birthday. This is the Pere Marquette 1225 and was the engine the story Polar Express was based on. Quite a unique experience. Even better was that my wife was allowed to ride along. Thanks for the site for now allowing me to add photos with out all the hoops. I just need to teach my wife which end is up on my phone. In my computer file and on the phone the photo's appear correct and they load correctly on facebook. On here some are screwy. Is there a way to rotate the picture before posting?

I was in that engine once several years ago, never imagined they let people run it, what a great experience!

Flip a do. In the movie they were using the throttle backwards!!!!!. They also added a character that was not in the book to satisfy the pc crowd.

We took the Christmas excursion last year. What a great experience. Whole family, wife and me, three children, their spouses, and seven grandkids. Must have taken 150 pictures. One awesome engine. Glad you got to run her.

You be welcome. The first time I saw that movie was at the Atlantic city Tropicana casino in I MAX. When the locomotive came storming out of that tunnel I almost.......myself. Was just a little too real.
