While on the subject of hydraulic links thought I would post my experience with side links. I bought hydraulic Side Links for both my 3600 and 3000 from this web site and not sure it was worth the expense. Is kinda nice when using a plow or box blade but the one on my 3600 caused me allot of work.
My fault but I ended up breaking the right mounting pin on my 3 point and it wasn't any fun to replace. I have a dual spool valve controlling the top and side links. Was mowing and went under a low branch on a tree. The tree hit the spool valve lever for the side link and raised it which I didn't notice till a few minutes later when I tried to raise the 3 point. The combination of the side link being out of position and raising the 3 point snapped the mounting pin for the right lift arm.
Guess I'm just saying if you do install a hydraulic Side Link, be careful on how much you offset the hitch. I cut the branch off the tree and removed the lever for the side link on my mowing tractor. Hopefully I won't have to go through the ordeal of replacing another mounting pin.
