Corn and beans

Son had no beans this years but does 70 acres for a neighbor so He and his wife and mine stayed on corn and he sent me over to do the 70 acres with my old Deere 8820. Never used it last year but it ran like a top. 39 years old with a early 925 platform---the whole package probably wouldn't bring $6000 on a sale but I got the 70 acres done in about 8 hours.

Why would it cost you $26K? Does it have something to do with your Affordable Health care?

Why did it cost me over $15 US for two 1/4# McDonalds hamburgers and a drink in London, Canada?

How can people afford to Live in
Canada?

No health insurance premiums to pay....the dollar difference brings good used equipment from the US here, my Gleaner came from Iowa. Some items are cheaper here but we are a pretty lean and mean bunch, lol!

I've been looking for a low hour,50-60hp, factory cab Kubota. I have been seeing some on Tractor House in Quebec Canada that seem reasonably priced compared to the US prices. Especially if you consider the exchange difference in the US dollar.

Not disputing your appraisal by any means big tee, but man its hard to beleive a nice outfit like that would bring only $6K. Seems like the tires alone could push $2K.

Going back to buying 2 hamburgers at Mackey Dees. It costs about $20 Canadian and just a little more than $15 US. So that wouldn't account for $26K Canadian vs. $6K US for a JD combine?

What is the actual exchange rate? What accounts for the outrageous price for 2 Hamburgers and a coke?

YES, Mickey Dees is slang for Mcdonalds.

I didn't leave anything in Canada and have no plans to return. I decided to drive through Canada on my way back to Indiana. Thought I would see something neat. Only neat thing was the falls which I've seen before.

THANKS JD---I bought it on my Dad's sale when he died in 88. Was our main combine until six years ago when we bought the 9600. It has more than 6000 hours on it. Neighbor who is 12 years younger than me had a sale 3 years ago and had a 8820 with terra tires and Deere rear wheel assist and it only brought $3300--925 plastic snoot bean head only brought $1900.
