Rubber hose not working. The one end of the line is too rough to get the hose tight enough and no room to sand down. I was wondering how hard it was to remove the existing line(s) from the transmission end on the truck?

I don't have one that new. My Chevy is a 93 and it has a threaded pipe which goes to the transmission. It's just where it goes by the radiator it converts to rubber.

Hi, I always put some lubricant on the steel pipe and slid the rubber hose over the steel pipe about 3" and then use 2 hose clamps on both ends. The pipes always rot out where they are holding clips and the road salt collects.

I use a flaring tool to put a small flare on the steel tube when connecting a hose. I have had tube slip off in a couple instances. Once from a snowbank.
