Any Ideas????

Brought this home yesterday. First I thought it was a doodlebug but now I'm thinking airport or factory tug. Ford Model A engine and tranny. Help!!!

The solid fronts make me think factory tug as well, Very interesting!!! Are there any ID plates on it? Jim
 
I am also looking at a tug. Home made or from a fabrication shop. That
would do fine on cement or hardtop but wouldn't be very practical on
dirt.
 
They used similar tugs in the cotton mill. Daddy called them 'Dinkys'. That was probably just a local term.

Whatever you call it, it is definately worth saving.

I was told my grandfather was driving one in the fatal accident that killed him. He died when my Daddy was about 14.
 
What method did they use to get the gear ratio down? Two transmissions? Can you tell what type of rear axle it has? Just wondering. I really like it.
