New tractor fuel??

Watched a movie where bootleggers used moonshine to fire up old truck when the fellows ran out of gas.Our wine project went past the wine stage to brandy 25% a.b.f.Some smooth human gasoline and delightful to drink.Made over 16 gallons and got bottles and caps, labels and hydrometer.NO!! NOT GOING INTO BOOTLEGGING LOL.Believe it or not, there must be some medicinal value cause my blood sugar is reading great @ 130.We could let it set longer and that would raise the alcohol content to where it would reach over 100 proof, but would not be for human consumption (I.M.H.O)but might be for tractor fuel.In my drinking days,I was enjoying moon shine made with HONEY instead of sugar. Now that was quite a treat.A little wine for thy stomach sake is whats needed at times when adversity strikes,or when things look dim.Just wondering if any of you folks have ever done this kind of project??
Warmest regards Lou & Victor

Russ ;our hydrometer is accurate I'm sure.Going to have a sample run at Vodka distillery located in Sarona .We use freeze concentration to reach that %. One fellow said he can reach 40% but I doubt it. 30-35 is about all that can be reached.

I've got 5 gals. of blackberry and 5 gals. of blueberry wine working right now, haven't yet decided if I'll make any pear this year.
I agree you won't get 100 proof/ 50% alcohol without distillation.

For fuel you need to hit 190 proof plus. Everclear. Lower is not so much the alcohol but the water in it. Tryed it with my Snapper rider mower a couple of weeks ago. Tryed it with a left over bottle of 91% rubbing alcohol. WRONG!!! Had to drain water out of the little Briggs carb four times to get rid of all of the water that dropped out.

An old timer I knew as a kid would make a barrel of hard cider a year. For a 50 gallon barrel he would add 50lb of sugar and 6 quarts of pineapple juice. It would usually be ready around Easter time. He would go on the wagon for lent, then open the barrel on Easter Sunday, and fall off hard..
