Bought this Generac pressure washer at a yard sale over the summer, really just bought it for the engine. Got a deal on another engine, so this PW just sat in the back of the building until yesterday. Decided Id try it out. Got the engine started pretty easily, but the pressure was real low, as in non existent. Couldn't get the popoff valve out so I just poured some ATF in every hole I could get it into, (Done this before) and let it set overnight. Got home from early services, decided to try it. I have pressure, it still low compared to my other one, but it dopes have some pressure. The thing I noticed though, is after a few minutes, the water is getting warmer the longer it runs. Think the pumps about shot??

I had one that wasn't getting pressure to the nozzle. There are small "O" rings in the wand and it blew them out faster than I could replace them. A friend gave me another wand and the problem was solved. I don't know if this is relevant to you issue but there is a chance it could be. If you have another wand it might be worth a try.

Hello John M,

Pressure built up, is also determined by the tip type. Black soap dispensing tip hardly has any pressure. You can also remove the unloader valve and clean it. Count the turns as you unscrew it, so you return it to the original pressure. You can also increase the pressure by tightening on the unloader spring,

Guido.

No adjustments on this one, cant even get the pop off valve out because of the way it made, without tearing the whole pump apart. It has an oddball pump on it, based on what I have found online about this washer. I kind of think the pump has been changed already at some point.
