Hard to believe

I take the grand kids to School when the mom, and dad can't do it. Going to the school I drive through what was Dad's bean field back in the 50's. My Grand Mother bought the 100 acres for 500.00, back in the 20's and almost lost the land, because she couldn't make the payments. My grand father left the family which made it hard on her, and her three sons. They managed some how. Dad stayed on the farm, where I grew up. It was sold in the 60's. Stan

Hard life for some in those days, sometimes it really hurts to see what has come to be of land that a person knew well.

When I was young I lived on a farm way out in 'The sticks' now I live on a farm in the middle of suburbia,same farm.
