Hay is done for the year

Loaded the last of the round bales that we sold and finished filling the Quonset for me. Now all I have to do is clean up the round baler and put it away for the winter. I didn't cut the last square bale field as it just didn't grow enough to fool with. We finally got about a week of good weather, even though the dew stayed on till noon and it took 5 days for it to dry. Hopefully nest year will be better (isn't that what we always say). By the way, the horse that was sick acts like she never had a problem now, so all is good. Keith

weather finished me this year.. I still had 20 acres left.. but havent seen the sun since before first of Oct.. and temps wont get much out of 50-60's. With the extended forcast calling for rain off and on and temps getting lower and lower not to mention less sun..it was time to call it good..So cleaned everything up and tucked it away..

If it would ever stop raining long enough I would go and cut the neighbors field but here lately we have not had 4 days in a row with out rain or at least having the weather guessers say we will have rain. Got another 1.5 inches yesterday into this morning

I have been hoping to cut once more even though the stuff is short but the weather wont let me, too wet and no sun. Minnesota. It has been a tough year for haying, I think I am going to be getting low by spring.

Finished up yesterday myself, have a 5 acre field I could cut but think I'll leave it and pasture it later.
Calling for rain so need to clean up the baler and get it inside.
