Need some advice here. Had a severe rain the last of Aug. (22 inches in 5 days) Had some 6 foot erosion next to buildings. Filled with waste sand up to 6 inches from surface. Finish with 6 inches of gravel or ? It is a parking lot. Thanks

If driven on, use ABC road base (pit run to 3/4 inch crushed limestone, or harder rock will be good. If erosion resistance is needed and limited driving, 1-1/2" material will get the water down fast and be erosion resistant. Jim

I agree, maybe even some 1"stone or pea rock, 6" or so, then your 3/4 - pit run and the top few inches with class 5 road gravel, gravel with a clay binder that packs giving it water shedding and the ability to hold together when driven on..

Where is the water coming from? Sand will wash out again, Redirect the water away from building before filling.

Had a similar issue after 93. Fellow that helped me put in shot rock and primary run first. It won't be going anywhere soon either.
