Got some combining done yesterday....

Barley was finally dry enough to knock off 20 acres. Had 2 JD95s running along with the 47 Ford 3ton.
Also baling the straw with a 3020 and a 24T.

Thanks for posting. I was a young kid when those were new and being used on the big farms around. We had a 55 corn special . About six years ago I saw this 105 sell at
auction in March after the owner passed away from a heart attack during harvest. He had a large collection of usable tractors and machinery from that period that he was still
very actively farming with.

Nice pics, thanks for posting. I still use a 95 and a 105 both are diesel square backs. I have five 3020's and two 24t balers as well. Tom

That combine has some well engineered add ons. The rotary screen off a 20 series combine and the folding divider snouts.

Thanks for all the comments. Have both a
square back and a round back running, both
are gas.
Personally prefer running the roundback.
However i also have a cockshut 428 i want
to put back in the field next year.

Nice pics.

So JD had a 40, 45, 55, 95, 105 for self propelled combines back then?

Were there other numbers I?m not thinking of?

I started combining on dads 45. Went Gleaner after that.
