On my New England road trip-corn question

Around Stowe Vermont and corn is standing and mostly green. Back home in Missouri it’s cut or it’s brown. Figured up north it would be in earlier. Late start this year?
 
we are a ways from VT, but we still have some green corn here, which was planted late due to the continual rain in the spring.
probably the same events as there. Missouri corn seems to go in about 3-4 weeks earlier than NY/Vt anyway.
