Yet another auction find...

Been looking for a medium size drawer unit for holding some of the larger hardware I use on a weekly basis in the shop. I find a lot of old metal ones but they are usually missing multiple drawers. Found this one at an auction and it is a nice size...42" tall and about 14" deep. Has 50 drawers of which 49 were present. A search for the 50th drawer on the jewelry wagons did not turn up anything but I decided I could either find one or make one. Most of the drawers are completely full of good clean nuts, bolts, and washers. Those that aren't have other treasures in them. One is packed solid with 3 pt lynch pins. A few odds and ends that I do not recognize are there too. Gonna be a handy thing but may take me a couple days work to get it all sorted and labeled. I guess Weatherhead made electrical supplies?

Most likely a hydraulic hose fitting cabinet. Weatherhead is a supplier of hydraulic hose fittings for most NAPA stores.

Weatherhead would more than likely been hydraulic hose fittings. The first machine I ever saw to make hoses was a Weatherhead one. Eaton bought Weatherhead in 2002.

Good bin to have. I like being able to take the drawer out so you can see/sort it better.

You still have no place to put your stuff since this cabinet came
"well stocked". LOL Oh, I forgot about that 50th drawer you're
going to make.

They made brass fittings also. Fuel line, brake line, etc. If I'm not mistaken, the original carburetor fuel inlet fitting for the Farmalls was sourced from Weatherhead.
