Well, they got gas tonight

We did the controls upgrade on the natural gas line to Minneapolis today, a lot went wrong, but we got it back up and no injuries.

That is a success to me.

YEAH! It's amazing all the stuff consumers take for granted, yet somewhere behind the scenes things have to be taken care of/maintained/upgraded, and the folks behind the scenes seldom make the news. (Unless something goes wrong!)

At least you didn?t blow up any houses, like they did in Massachusetts. My nephew was evacuated during that disaster, but he was lucky enough to have a house to come back to. He doesn?t know when they will get gas back for heat. Everything else in his place is electric, sp he can cook and have hot water. He is talking about moving out of the affected area.

Would you care to comment on how that could have happened? The news has pretty much passed over that story now, with the hurricane and politics to talk about.

We have quite an infrastructure of stuff and supplies and roads and rails and pipes and waterways that no one ever gives any thought to.

I?ve only seen the show ?after people? or whatever it?s called a time or two, they make interesting guesses as to what happens to lots of our stuff if human beings weren?t around to take care of things. Bridges crumbling, and so forth.

Paul I have seen many many times stories about the reports done on studies of bridges, roads, underground pipes etc. The problem is not lack of thought but lack of appropriation of money.
