went to a very small auction yesterday afternoon. they were done in less than an hour. i would guess less than 30 items.

a small AC 5020 diesel tractor with turf tires 2WD, with AC loader brought $1500

old Case feed mixer went for $20. no i didn't buy it. it looked like it was all there. the PTO was inside the tub.. but i suspect whatever the PTO attached to the shaft parts might have been missing.

older 3pt scrapper blade went for $100

old horse drawn/converted to 3pt David Bradly 2 row planter brought $75. is suspect for a lawn ornament.

i went to look at the Jeep CJ5 they had. VERY rough. needed several hours of work to try to start. needed all new tub. 2 fiberglass hard tops, snow plow, new tires but been sitting so long it wouldn't matter much sold for $700... it would have probably gone $200.

Unless it has more than one auger, I would call it an auger wagon. The only mixing it could do is if you layered the different components and it would work with gravity and the unloading auger to do some mixing. As a youngster I followed the grinder mixer around with a 4 ton tandem axle auger wagon with a much longer unloading auger. We usually ran 50 ton a week of ear corn through it. If the buyer needed it and could fix it reasonably inexpensive, they got a great deal. Seems like the tractor loader was a steel if it ran good. Turf tires detracted from the value in my opinion.

They mixed by turning the spout into the box and circulating that way. You can put the hitch on either end for unloading convenience. You could also get them with the hammer mill mounted on front. I've only seen those in pics.

it wasn't a farm equipment auction so to speak. as i mentioned only about 20 items total could hardly call it a hobby farm auction. I'm surprised any auctioneer would have even taken this one on. 30-45 minutes and they were done. maybe.. maybe 20 of us there to bid.

in hind sight i guess i should have bid on it and resold it at least.
