Full on compression release. I like them because they remind me from where we came. Massive slow cylinder trying to get the heat energy out of the fuel not realizing the energy
was delivered in the first 15 degrees of Crank rotation after TDC. Jim

first one ive seen with the cover off, so im guessing the cylinder which looks like a cylinder out of a big truck diesel, lays inline with the frame, like john deere? no wonder these rock back and forth in one place when there idling nice to see though, i wonder how they were to farm with, anybody got one they use?
