Who has one? I just realized I have four.Four!Reversed F12/loader.JD 'A' with IH 'M' wide front.'hot rod' f12 with 2.8L Ford V6/combine rear tires/SC wide front....And the newest/current 'project'. MD rear end 'married' to a 400 front. That one is turning into more than expected....LOL!Let's hear about your 'Frankentractors'!

A mild one. 560 Diesel with a gas engine made up with diesel crank, more power pistons and sleeves, flywheel starter and oil pump from the diesel.. runs really good but not finished yet.

Combine tires on a 350U do not really count. Frankinvehicles you bet. 1965 Cotton trials bike (originally Norton Villers 2 Stroke 250) with Yamaha 350RD twin, lay down shocks. 1965 Ford custom with a 292 Yblock and 4 speed top loader. 1976 Grimlin with 4 speed. 1966 VW bus with Opel engine and 4 speed into 3 spreed into Nissan 280ZX differential. 1967 Austin Healey with total toyota 3TC drive train and electrics. More than those. Jim

Saw one at a show a few years ago:

Rear end and sheet metal - Massey 101 Senior.
Engine - Chrysler 318 V8.
Front frame - fabricated out of channel iron. A large Elwood winch was mounted at the front
Front axle - salvaged from a military deuce and a half. (The drive shaft turned but I don't know if it was actually connected to the tractor transmission)
Cab - homebuilt

Overall a homely machine. But it seemed to work just fine.

I'm putting a 2.8 V6 out of a chevy blazer in an ford 8n. Just have to finish it up. Here's a shot of my worthington front wheel drive. Even though it only has a ford 8n engine it will get up to 40 MPH. With the rear wheel steering I don't know if I'll ever put it in 4th gear. It's fast enough for an old man like me. I let a couple of other people drive it at a show a couple weeks back and it is fun to drive.

I have a tractor I'm building that might fit that description.
It started as an all purpose Ford 4000 gasser.
I converted the engine to diesel. Then put a 4400 front axle under it. But I didnt like the 4400 style steering so I converted it to 3500 style and used a 4600 power steering box. Had to make my own tie rods. Lastly I put the industrial nose from a much newer 545 on it - just for looks.
Not done yet. Am looking for smaller rears and bigger fronts. One thing about these 3 cylinder Fords is they were modular so you can swap components around quite a bit across the years and models.
My 3000 is a fankentractor too - built from parts from at least a dozen different tractors. If the correct police saw it they would probably call the swat team.

Not really a tractor, but I built this Grasshopper with parts from at least 6 different machines. I call it Frankenhopper.

Hey Janicholson, do you ride observed trials? Back when I was competing in enduros a friend had a cotton dealership for awhile.

farmall''M'' gas running 76 hp, M&W live hyd, two christmas tree's. and the belly pump. char-lynn power stearing. 706 flat top fenders with s head lights. 706 seat. 15.5 38 stones on tractor and 15.5 38 duels. four wheel weights each side

I was gonna make one,but olgentDC didn't think I should do what I was gonna do to that Case DC. LOL

I only have one at the moment?
It's 44 J/D A.. But it has been reassembled with ( MANY ) Deere parts from a 39 A, 45 A, 46 A 47 A, 51 A, 52 A, 50 G , 54 model 60, 57 520, 61 3010.
Besides all the NOS parts purchased New.. I believe the pedestal, front frame, transmission case & rear axles & some of the transmission shafts & gears
belong to this tractor. Everything else Does Not.

my Case 800 is only slightly modified but wouldn't call it a frankenCase.

it has 730 dual shifters,
an 86 Carpice alternator,
Ford econoline lower rad hose
modified dash from a later model 930 western
power steering pump moved to the right side
seat from a massey combine,
fenders from?? i'm guessing a euro built Heston or AC
homemade standard hyd outlets and mounting braket.
steps on both sides made from floor boards from another Case 800
brush gaurd from a 85 series IH highly modified with added reciever hitch
air cleaner stack shortened to avoid trees.
1991 plymouth acclaim spark plug wires

and best of all its for sale
