Thanks to the man upstairs and the prayer circle from church and the YT well wishers and a good surgeon. I have been pretty much pain free snce 24 hours after waking from operation. It is inconvenient and annoying, but am thankful being pain free. (I am using far less narcotic drugs than label on bottle allows). Plenty of scary stories about addiction out there. My aunt has osteoporosis and had been taking too many too long. Last December I visited them and she hardly said a word, just sat on the sofa. Last month my uncle said they got her off the oxy. He is grateful. Unless something changes, I probably won't post on this subject until after doctor appointment on October 8th. Thanks to all.
 
glad to hear.. I had back surgery few years ago to clean up two vertibra that were messed up.. Had pain sitting and standing. pressed on that nerve that ran down the leg..

Great feeling of no pain when one has delt with it to long..

Glad you are felling better. Wife got a new hip last thursday. Therapist and nurse coming 3 times a week. All worried about her taking the prescribed drugs and getting addicted. Allowed 1 pill every 4 hrs. She only takes 1/2 of a tablet when she goes to bed, that's all. Had to show the nurse how many were in the bottle. She didn't believe her. Incision looks great so nurse isn't coming back.57 with a new hip, doc said other one isn't far off.

Put a guard rail up around that pit, and maybe also have an always-on LED light to make it easier to see.

I am a bit surprised, however. Granted I only had a cast on my leg that one time, but every time I'd let my leg down, the blood rushing back down there was quite painful at first. Been too long to remember how long that lasted. But then also, I couldn't even swallow aspirin back then, so didn't have any pain killers at all. Maybe that's the difference.

In any case, great news for sure! Thanks for the update.
