I didn't even know what a TO-30 was until I started hanging around on this forum. Now I own one! As you can see mine came with JD-LA115 attachment. I believe that's not OEM but some after market part.

Sheet metal looks really nice on that one!!! I always anted a nice one but just never seemed to see on that took my fancy. I think they are a better tractor than the Ford 8N. I plowed a lot of ground with one and the three point works better on the TO-30.

My maternal Grand Father had a TO-30. Only tractor he ever owned. Bought it in 1953 and it was one year old. MY cousin got it out of the estate in 1976, as he is the oldest Grand son and named after our Grand Father. What makes me cry is it has never seen a shed since he got it. He moves from one rented place to the next. He might run it once each year. I have a standing offer of $5K for it and he will not even think of taking it. He is always going to "restore" it as it slowly rusts away. ARGGGGGGGGG> LOL

I'd talked my Dad into buying a restored TO-30 one time for mowing our 2 acres in SE Texas. Sure did like that machine. Started and ran like a charm, and never had any problems, save for having to change out some small part in the back end, having to do with the 3-pt lift. Had to almost be a monkey to get it in there, as I recall.

Ended up selling it as I had gotten the Pasquali 986 PTO shaft bearings replaced and was using it more, and Dad didn't see the need to keep the other machine. Sure wish I'd been in a position to buy it for myself -- but then I preferred the Pasquali to the TO-30. It was way more fun!

No, it was in an accident 1,000+ miles away. We were in no condition afterwards to be hauling it back. Yes, still crying over that loss!

Thanks all for the input. I seem to be developing a habitual inclination (sounds nicer than addiction) towards these beautiful old machines. The period between my tractor purchases is getting shorter every time. This probably will not go on much longer or I may have to start doing my own laundry.

As for Pasquali tractors?? um yeah, I'm thinking you're having me on right? Pasquali -is that like cow tipping or snipe hunting? If it is a real thing -please I don't need anymore ideas, I just learned about the JD model H at the show this weekend. What's not to like, a miniature model B would look nice in my collection.

Yeah I was lurking on the Ferguson board a couple times last week. No doubt I'll be on there soon pestering the heck out of those folks as this one has some issues.

I started out on this forum just lurking, then I got the Case and got to meet some of the fine folks down in that section. I lurk the green and yellow section a lot also. Now I'll get to meet even more peeps and learn a bunch more. What a great hobby, site, and people.
