Do I need a tube?

Here’s a tubeless tire that has been a slow leaker for awhile. Shot it with soapy water last night and found it like this this morning

Your rim has 8 holes. My 14k implement trailer has 8 hole rims too. No idea what tire came off of
but I think it's time for a new tire. Sidewalls leak because you ran it improperly inflated.

It’s not a trailer tire, it’s a gravity wagon tire.

My other idea was to try some of that military grade bulletproof tire slime that gemplers sells by the 5 gallon bucket.

I bought a JD 4055 several years ago. The front tries would go flat in 3-4 days. I soaped them up looking for leaks and both front tires looked that way. I just replaced the tires. The tires had good looking tread but a lot of stubble cuts.

Bret, regardless reason for leaking, I would replace it because a tire mounted on an 8 bolt rim
needs to be rated over 2000#. It would be dangerous to have something like that on the road.
Only real way to tell if it's been underinflated is to see what it looks like on the inside.

(quoted from post at 18:27:10 09/09/18) You need another tire. That one has been run low or flat and the side wall is coming apart.

It's a 14l-16.1 tire on a gravity box. Rarely goes down the road. if it does, it's behind a tractor at less than 20 mph. I'm gonna order some ultraseal from Gemplers tomorrow and do a lil' experimenting on if I can get it to seal.

It will probably work if you take the wheel off and lay it on each side for awhile before you use it...kinda hard to keep a sidewall sealed up when it is vertical. Might work just as well to dump some antifreeze in the tire and air it up....it will swell up the rubber and probably seal it.
