Was wondering what straw sells for there. My son sells some around here for three dollars a bale.Yours look like nice bales.

I saw a farmer bale large square bales, 4x4x8 ft. They used a front loader to load two bales at a time on a semi trailer.

They had the baler following the combine. As soon as they were done baling, they followed up planting beans.

I guess they think time is money. Didn't waist time harvesting, baling and planting beans.

Last few years they stopped baling the straw. No idea why. Only guessing they thought it was better leaving the straw or there wasn't enough money in straw. Or leaving the straw helped retain moisture.

Some years there?s a market for straw other years you can?t give it away. I could sell 5000 more bales if I had them if the drought continues down south they?ll sell good for quite a few years

This was a good year with plenty of moisture to double crop. I know of one farmer who did and has good looking beans (east central Ind.)
