Alabama tractor ride

My wife and I have put together a tractor ride and show. The money raised is going to help some of our church youth group go on a mission trip to Haiti Short ride. Good lunch. Short ride back to the church where there will be a fall festival and trunk or treat. Not your normal time for a tractor show but we hope folks stick around for the afternoon activities too. Hope some of y'all can make it. New tractors are welcome too!

Good looking posters, just a little too far for me to come, I keep used tires on my trailers and don?t want to be on the road much more than a 100 miles from the house in any direction , I?ll keep it in mind though as I believe that?s Alabama?s off day, Roll Tide Roll...

Raise money for a Mission Trip to Haiti is the goal? Our church raises money for the youth group to go every two years to either Florida, Phoenix Az. or California. Never understand why they don't do mission work in our own state, SD. Paint a house for older people or help on the Reservation or clean up empty lots or paint a store front.. I guess the kids won't come if they don't get to go to Disney world in Fla. or Cal. or the races or a ballgame in Phoenix. The money raised to travel and tickets and motel rooms could be better spent in my opinion.

I think what you're doing is a fantastic way to expand some young people's world view, add to their sense of self worth, help people in need in a place with slim resources; and icing on the cake, have a wholesome and fun tractor-centered event locally. I commend you and yours! gm

I agree. Plenty of people in this country that need help.
Probably in their town.

Casecollector, I agree. Local folks need help too. Unfortunately most local folks won't take help from local youth groups. Maybe a pride thing? But if those same kids are from ND or PA, then they will let them rebuild a porch or paint the house or fix up a kitchen. It drives me crazy. It also helps the kids grow up some being away from home. But our group is going to Haiti and why not help them out by spending a day on tractors?! My 2 boys will not be going on the mission trip,costs too much! I went to the Dominican republic when I was 15. Spent 2 weeks helping build a church. Great experience. Sure was an eye opener!
