Hello all... I'm new to this site and per recommendation of my father; reaching out to you for help in researching OHIO Farm Equipment Manufacturers. I am attempting to assemble a list of OHIO based Farm Equipment Manufactures dating back to early 1900's and prior is possible.

IF you are from OHIO I'm also looking to assemble a list of dealers that were over time specific to the FIRELANDS area. (Ottowa, Huron, Erie, Ashland, Lorain counties).

I'm asking for any knowledge you may have of OHIO based Manufacturers or dealers specific the Firelands area.

Example:
Dauch Mfg. Company Sandusky, OH 1912-1990
Manufacture of Sandusky Tractors

Example:
Wellington Implement Co. Wellington, OH 1929- pres
Farmall - Case IH

Feel free to reply directly to this, send me PM or call me (will send number via PM) Lets make this an interesting conversation!

md.........My suggestion would be to contact Sam Moore. He is retired school teacher/historian and writes a column for the Farm and Dairy weekly newspaper in Salem Ohio. Over the years I've read many of his columns regarding just the subject that you are asking about.
Good Luck,
Jim B

McCurdy elevators made in Ada, Ohio, Hopper beds made in Botkins Ohio. Dunham, forget town. Blackhawk planters. Silver King tractors, have a festival every year. Holden Bros, West Liberty, Oh. Wagons and designed but never pattened the wagon loading bale chute for the Deere sidewinder baler. Met the last of the Holden bros several years ago and they could not believe they were seeing one of their bale chutes at the tractor show in their home town.

Huber , Marion Ohio.- tractors
Silver King , Plymouth Ohio - tractors. They started out calling them Plymouths , but got in trouble from the car maker. IIRC
