Today I was the bug. First load went here. I got out to look it over and thought the dirt was too wet, but the sod would be fine. Not so much tho! Started down that hill and realised right away that was a big mistake and hit the brakes, but I slid another 50' at least before I stopped and all with no steering. Usually we can pull ourselves out by using the hydraulics on the trailer wheels by setting the trailer brakes and pulling the tractor back, then set tractor brakes and push trailer wheels back. Then just repeat til you get out. But today the mud was so slick the trailer wheels just slid, even with blocks. So that meant a tow truck. The next load looked like the last pics, the container is the tan one way back. And all on a day when I have a doctor appointment too. By the time I was done I was covered in mud, hope the doc has a sense of humor. Lol

When you are driving a dump truck it is usually expected that you will get stuck occasionally, but it is usually no big deal because you are on a job site with plenty of equipment around to give you a tug. I was delivering the second of three loads to a home for a landscaper one time when I got stuck with no one around. Fortunately a buddy's farm was only .4 miles away, and I called him and he sent a big JD right over to help me.

I was plowing a field for a friend one time. Get as close to that marshland as you can. I made one to many rounds. usually could get out of anything as it was a fully mounted 310 IH plow. Go until you spin, then lift the plow and drive out. Did not work this time. Kept getting myself in worse and worse. This was before there were cell phones so I had to walk about two miles to different friend house. He came and pulled me out with the 135 White.

if you drive long enough you will get stuck I got stuck one time in a motel parking lot ,I thought I parked at enough of a down hill I could get out in the morning no luck put chains on still wont move called class A wrecker nope now we are both stuck , he had to run he's bull line under the wrecker to a light pole then we got out, .freezing rain over night and hot tires when I parked!

I had to get a wrecker to pull my big tractor out of a wet field one time. Then I had to pull him out. Then he had to pull me again. Then I had to pull him again. After we got each other out, I told the guy that if I owed him $300 for the pull then he owed me $300 for pulling him. We should just shake hands and call it a day. Didn't work but worth a try.
