Had a good day hauling straw today.

We have some fields that on average are roughly 12+ miles away we baled wheat on. We had 6 wagons 3 tractors 2 of them are loaders and we got 330 bales home in 4 trips. 81 with the 6 loader per trip and a few we took an extra or two home on the loader. No flats today everything went without a hitch today 🤪

I?m trying to decide if it will be small squares, large squares, or round bales? :)

This is kind of like an old arithmetic book word problem. He said he has 6 wagons each made 4 trips. That means the bales were moved by 24 wagon loads. Then I just have to assume the wagons each can haul an equal number of bales. So 330 divide by 24 is 13.75, so my guess is each trailer could haul 12 bales and the extra 7 (1.75 x 4) were taken on the loader spears as a tractor was pulling its assigned trailers. So big squares or rounds is my guess. Of course the number each wagon could haul may have varied greatly for all I know. Sounds like a good days progress anyway; good work!

Lol it was late and I was tired sorry about the missing information 😬 one wagon holds 17 5 foot rounds ,the one hooked into it holds 14. Then there?s 2 more hooked together that hold 14 each and the last 2 each hold 11. Some trips we took 1 or 2 home on the loaders.

He put a pic up now. As many of you guessed, my funny was 98% of 2/3 of a real question. :)
