Loosing pullets.

I am loosing pullets about laying age or a little after (that would make them hens I know, but young). They will just get weak and after a few days die. The crops will be full and sometimes the vents are a little pasty. I did worm them with Wazine a few weeks ago.

Hmm, since mine are kept in the coop I would pull some long grass and weeds and throw it in to them every day to simulate being free range. I started loosing them and concluded they
were choking on the long stems. When a chicken eats the grass outside they are pecking off little bits at a time as it is anchored by the roots whereas mine would get the whole stem
caught in their throat.

I assume they have grit. Are they shaking their heads? Any discharge coming from their mouths? I have had them die from some thing called sour crop. You turn them up side down
and this stinky liquid will pour out of their mouth.
