1. This is Bruce, a ex Marine Vietnam veteran at his booth selling tools and supplies. He said he served in "North Vietnam" as a the only Marine with a group of Army scouts. He was very unhappy with there being so many golf carts because the riders couldn't see into his bins and his sales were not good. A real interesting guy. I did ask his permission to take his pic.
2. Massey Harris Super 101. A real pretty tractor!

Let me add that Bruce was the Comm (radio operator) guy for his squad. He also said they operated 20' off any trails they followed. Never took a footpath or trail.

I hope he and other vendors will complain to the club and they do something about those golf carts. The wife and I were so P I S S E D about having to walk around those things and smell the exhaust on the gas powered ones in that heat and humidity that it ruined the whole experience for us. THEY HAVE TO GO!!

I enjoy a good tractor show but I really enjoy meeting interesting people at the shows. Made some great friends at shows for sure!

I've sat and talked to that gentleman for hours and shows before. Very interesting guy, never runs out of good stories.

I know what you mean, but I'm not sure if they can ever put the golf cart "genie" back in the bottle. They reined in the ATV/UTV use significantly a couple years ago and that has helped a lot in regards to safety. I don't own one, but I understand that they help people with mobility issues see the show. They probably should be limited to handicap/senior use only, but that's me in a few years, LOL.

Those grounds are huge, and I see the need and downright convenience of using them on the rest of the grounds, but in the flea market, they need to put up bales of straw or something like they did for a few years after that kid ran over somebody. I know they don't let garden tractors in the flea market and the guys who get around on those respect the rules and park them and walk, but somebody needs to get the message to the golf cart crowd. I saw them lined up almost bumper to bumper driving through. A person on foot didn't have a chance.

I think the golf cart is a good thing for the old folks who have trouble getting around. The ones I don't like are the kids with golf carts and garden tractors going like crazy and making it bad for the folks that walk.

A lot of us would appreciate it Ron. Even if it was no carts without handicap permit in the flea market it would probably cut down on the traffic by 95%. Put one of the red vests there to enforce it.

I thought they already banned all golf carts except those rented
there and they could only be rented by and driven by, licensed drivers.
Only local show I've heard of to have done that but I see the reason.
Last time I was there, they weren't allowed in the flea market but
I haven't been there in a couple of years.

I, myself , have a handicap permit. I use the wagons to get from back of parking to entrance and that is it. I do NOT use carts and won't. No need for it with all the wagons. Also, the ones I see are NOT "shopping" , they are "cruising". They can't get down between most flee market isles anyway. I don't see any of them getting off even for a moment to look at anything. Bar them from flea market area. Might be surprised how many get off and "walk" in ! It's being abused just as anything will be. My opinion is that most that truly cannot get off their cart at all , are probably NOT going to do the flea market anyway. Once they make the rule, all will see that.
